Zinux Linux

Zinux Linux is Cynic by Trade's own linux distribution, based on the Linux from Scratch project. All portions of Zinux Linux can be compiled from source on the host system (with the exception of grub 0.97 on x86_64), thanks in large part to the instructions provided by the LFS book — Cynic by Trade just provides a little glue to hold all the pieces together, as well as a LiveCD/LiveDVD and a few local modifications. While anyone is welcome to use Zinux Linux it's definitely intended for linux experts, and frankly mostly for our internal use, so don't be surprised if it contains several quirks not common in other distributions. If you're building your first from-scratch linux system you're much better off starting with the LFS project. That being said, here's what we've got:

Zinux 2.15

As of November 17, 2009, the current stable version of Zinux is 2.15.
